I was very pleasantly surprised to see that pinyin is included with the characters when the mouse is hovered over them. My only gripe is that the characters are still too small for me even on a 17" monitor. To compensate for that I copied and pasted the dialog into Microsoft Word and enlarged the font size. To my surprise the pinyin pasted in as well. However, the pinyin for the last line in Beginner's lesson #5 (the only one I have done so far) did not copy over. I am not sure why this is so or if the pinyin of the last line of every dialog will be cut off like that. Is this something that you could check on your end? Also, is it possible to
either make the characters bigger for the transcription of the dialog or perhaps have a button on the page to magnify them? In any case, I look forward to going through more of the site and thanks so much for all the effort that you have put into creating it. |

Thanks for the feedback Meir. I am surprised that the characters apear so small on your monitor.
I currently view the page using a laptop with a 15" screen and find that I can still read the characters. I didnt realise that the Pinyin would copy with the chinese characters that was a surprise and I noticed the same thing that the Pinyin was not copied for the last line of the dialogue. I found that if you select the first line of the English translation as well as the Chinese characters the Pinyin for the last line will be copied. If you are using Microsoft windows explorer you can use the magnifier option in the lower right corner to increase the page size. If your computer runs windows Xp there is a system utility like a magnifier glass which can also be used to zoom in on the characters. I will consult the site programmer and see if we can't make the characters a little bigger. |

If it was English I would have no problem with the font size but as the world of characters is new to me and they are more detailed than English letters, I have trouble making out all of their details at that size.
I am running Windows XP by the way and would be very interested to know where that magnifying option is . |
