Dream of the Red Chamber, also know as The Story of the Stone (石头记 Shítóu jì), is written by Cáo Xuěqín and is one of the masterpieces of Chinese fiction. The novel is famous not only for its big cast of characters and psychological scope, but also for its precise and detailed observation of the life and social structures of Qing Dynasty (18th Century). |

Romance of the Three Kingdoms--三国演义（san3 guo2 yan3 yi4)
It is a historical norvel, written by Luo Guanzhong in the 14th Century. Among the novel, one of the most famous scenes is Cao zhi is forcing to make a poem within 7 steps. Therefore, the poem is called Seven Steps Verse (also known as the Quatrain of Seven Steps) version pronunciation translation 煮豆燃豆萁，Zhu3 Dou4 Ran2 Dou4 Qi2, Using the bean stalks to boil the beans, 豆在釜中泣。Dou4 Zai4 Fu3 Zhong1 Qi4. The beans thus wailed. 本是同根生，Ben3 Shi4 Tong2 Gen1 Sheng1, Born are we the same root 相煎何太急? Xiang1 Jian1 He2 Tai4 Ji2? Should you now burn me with such disregard? |
