A to Z Chinese lessons comprise of everyday practical conversations that fall under 3 Levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Each lesson is comprised of a video featuring a 1-2minute conversation between Chinese people. After each conversation, a short recap is provided to highlight the key points of the conversation
Beginner
If you are new to the Chinese language then the beginner lessons are for you. Beginner lessons are the shortest containing the least dialogue. This makes it easier to remember the key points of the lesson. As you continue to view the lessons you will soon find that you are gradually recognizing more of the common words. After Completing around 100 lessons or 200 minute video lessons you should be able to understand 30% of the Chinese language. This should enable you to follow any of the Beginner lessons without needing the descriptions.
Intermediate
After Completing the Beginner Lessons you should now be competent enough to progress to the Intermediate lessons. As an intermediate learner you should be able to follow a simple Chinese conversation or be Part of one. You could use what you have learned at a Chinese restaurant. The Intermediate lessons introduce more complex conversations which will enable you to expand your vocabulary. After completing the 100 lessons you should now be able to understand 60% of the Chinese language and allow you to progress to the Advanced lessons.
Advanced
After successfully completing the Intermediate lessons you should be proficient enough to tackle the Advanced Lessons. As an Advanced learner your Chinese should be far enough developed to communicate during day to day life. Your vocabulary will still be lacking specialised words which would help you to communicate with more ease. After completing 50 lessons your Chinese proficiency should be able to have a good understanding of TV program, movies and etc.
Remember!
You dictate your own pace of learning. The above descriptions of the lessons indicate the minimum duration needed to reach an Advanced Proficiency.
If you do not feel confident enough to move to the next level continue at the same level.
